I'm a nibbler. I always tend to over-order at restaurants, because I just want to try a bit of everything. Which is probably why I love high tea so much. Everything is minute, and yet I never walk away without feeling way too full.
The afternoon tea at the Haymarket Hotel is probably one of the better ones I've had in London. Not to mention that the parlor is adorably decorated. When I went this past weekend, they were serving their winter tea selection. Which, alongside the typical smoked salmon sandwiches and scones, included such holiday highlights as chocolate log cake, apply & cinnamon crumble, walnut cake, cranberry & vanilla trifle, and mega macarons that I am almost positive were gingerbread flavored. Fittingly delicious.
