It's finally here! I adore Christmas month so much I'm not even sad fall just started and is already ending. My family doesn't really celebrate Christmas, so I don't relate all that much to the typical christmas tree, stockings, and presents shebang (although, don't get me wrong, it sounds lovely). Instead, I enjoy the following:

Aside from haggis and stovies, I'm still rather uncertain as to what Scottish cuisine consists of. But according to my MTV Europe guidebook (yes, I have an MTV Europe guidebook), the Baked Potato Shop in Edinburgh falls under the category. And who am I to argue with MTV?
Accuracy aside, the Baked Potato Shop is genius. True to its name, it's menu selection is simple: cheap, filling baked potatoes and about a million possible toppings to go with it. I chose the sweet corn filling. Simple but sooooo damn good.

too many several weeks ago, I told you all I spent a weekend in Scotland and the Highlands? Well, it's long overdue, but here starts the flurry of posts from that trip.
Since it was a short weekend trip, I only spent a day in Edinburgh before heading to the Highlands. Which actually turned out to be just the right amount of time. Edinburgh is a charming city. A small big city, if that makes any sense. In just one day, I managed to see the major landmarks and a significant portion of both the Old and New Town.
Hope you enjoy this quick video synopsis of some of the highlights from my day in Edinburgh. Promise to post again soon! :]

Well, folks, it's finally starting to get cold and prematurely dark in London. It's been a long time coming; God knows I've been embracing each unexpectedly sunny day as if it would be my last, and now... well, fall (or perhaps winter?) is finally here.
Enjoy the pictures after the jump! These were shot right before the bitter cold settled into London to stay so it was still possible to remain not too bundled up.

And the last of the Amsterdam posts is up!
I didn't have much time in Amsterdam, so I didn't get the chance to do much shopping. But I did get the chance to buy myself this new pair of dark purplish-maroon Supertrash jeans. I think they're perfect for fall (and wonderfully stretchy so they can accomodate me in fatass mode).
Enjoy the pictures after the jump!

If you're ever there and want a cheap, easy, and leisurely way to experience the city, I highly suggest renting a canal bike. In many ways, I feel like Amsterdam's canals are the soul of the city, and traveling on them you get to see the city in a lovely new light. Plus, it's less than 10€ per hour/person, and it's really not as big of a cardio workout as it may seem. Although I guess I shouldn't be saying anything about that since the boys did all the peddling.
Hope you're all having the luckiest 11/11/11 possible.
I seem to have a newfound love for vlogging! Canal biking was one of my favorite memories of my trip, so I hope you enjoy this video as much as I enjoyed watching and editing the footage.
As always, more pictures of my outfit in posts to come! I'm wearing my favorite new knit sweater so you'll probably be bored of seeing me in it by the time this fall passes.

As promised, here is the first post on my weekend trip to the Netherlands. On the first day, I went to Zaanse Schans, a little ways out of Amsterdam. I'm a city girl, but the sight of the windmills studded amongst the idyllic scenery had me breathless. If you're ever in Holland, it's definitely worth a visit.
Enjoy the video! More pictures of Zaanse Schans and my outfit coming up in the next post.
