For the past two weeks, the weather in New York has been testy (to put it mildly) what with Sandy, snow, and all. It and preparation for my impending first round of law school exams has kind of turned me into a hermit. I'll venture outside for classes, the occasional girly playdate, and Starbucks' salted caramel hot chocolate, but for the most part, I have been under self-imposed house arrest. So I decided to finally take the time to snap a few shots of my beloved new home for you!
I will say that my apartment-hunting experience in Manhattan was as stressful as the rumors forewarned, but if you know what you want, the process can be quite speedy. I got really lucky and found my place on the 3rd day of scouring! Perfect location, perfect building, perfect city view. And although it's a studio apartment, it's plenty spacious for little ol' me. I positioned the large IKEA storage unit (more closet space!) to separate the living room from the bedroom/study. The (extremely!) tall ceilings and massive windows really help open the space up, and perhaps most importantly, there's tons of inbuilt closet room. Needless to say, I dont' think I'll be kicking my homebody ways for quite some time.
Enjoy the pictures after the jump!
